Now, onto today’s quick message…
Over the last several months, I’ve found myself asking my clients (and myself) a series of questions to help create some mindset shifts when they need it most. These questions are particularly helpful in those moments when it feels like things are happening that are outside of your control. If you find yourself reacting/responding to the things going on around you and you’re not loving how it makes you feel, these questions bring your attention back to your power…aka you.
The questions…
1. What can I do? This may be a question of what can you do to feel better in this particular moment or it can be what can you do period. Often when we feel like certain life aspects are closing in on us, all we see are the trouble and challenges. We see very clearly the things that are *not* working or the things that are *not* options for us. In those moments it’s easy to hyper-focus on what we “can’t” do versus looking at what you can. This question simply adjusts your focus a bit so you begin looking toward answers, solutions and relief. It works wonders when you remember to use it. So…what can you do?
2. What do I want? Another good question that we often forget to ask ourselves. As we get caught up in the reality of what’s going on around us, we forget that we have a choice and our desires matter. We forget that we have the ability to shift our mind to what we *want* versus what we don’t want (that’s likely got our attention at the moment.) Shift your thoughts to what you want and you begin flowing energy in that direction. Again, this is a simple shift that can create magic.
3. What do I need? How often are you taking time to actually ask yourself what you *need*? This is a question I encourage you to ask daily and as you uncover what you need…do everything in your power to fulfill that need. It might be a simple thing like a glass of water or a nap or maybe you need some space to think and/or feed your creativity. Yes, in a way this is about self-care, but on a deeper level it’s about managing your energy & vibration. So, ask this question often & tune into what it is you need most. What do you need right now? Do you know?
