Let’s talk about the messy middle (a place I’ve been quite often the last 3 months!)
This space is common particularly during big life transitions. Moving, career shifts, relationship changes etc. & it can feel incredibly confusing & overwhelming.
Let’s be clear it’s called the messy middle for a reason. It’s messy. It feels like shit when you’re deep in the throes of change AND it’s the middle.
It does NOT mean it’s & you’re failing.
I like to think of the middle-in-between space as a place where magic emerges that you’d otherwise never experience.
It’s just part of the process.
Truth be told…it sucks.
And…it’s still working.
If you find yourself in the midst of the messy middle right now, give yourself the gift of grace & then do these 4 things.
1. Feel the feels.
2. Do something not related to the thing you’re in the mess of…(go for a walk, clear out your garden, declutter your closet)
3. Reach out to your support system…friends, family, coach/mentor
4. Take a deep breath & ease back into your belief in whatever way you can.
And remember…you got this. It might not feel like it right now, but I promise you do & soon you’ll see it for yourself as well.
