More golden nuggets from recent client sessions…
The past few weeks have been full of so many golden nuggets that I *know* apply to more than just the women I am currently working with. These are things we all deal with in some form or fashion so I am sharing them here with you.
As always, take what resonates & leave the rest. However, if there is one (or more) that make you a little antsy, annoyed & roll your eyes…pay special attention to that one. 😉
1. Stop preparing for disappointment. I know it is a human reflex to plan for the worst and hope for the best, but friends it’s also killing your progress. When you are priming your mind for failure & disappointment, you are actively sending out the energy of- “this isn’t going to work anyway, so I’ll just go through the motions.” There is zero creative, powerful, joyful, flowing energy in that space.
It’s also like packing for a trip to Alaska when you really want to be in the Bahamas. (I’m guessing you don’t do that.) So stop it. Prepare for your success in mind, body, energy & action. You are *so* much more likely to experience success when you do.
2. What do you need? Support from below or support from above. Recently a client said “All this time I thought I needed support from below, when what I really needed was support from above.” While she was referring to a work situation, this applies to us all!
You don’t need anyone to lift you up & hold you there when it comes to your dreams and desires. What you really need is someone who sees the power in you & calls you *UP* to your next level. Yes, they will guide & support you from that space, but you are doing the things to make the magic happen. And friends, this is exactly what this coaching thing is all about. I already see the power in you & I know what is possible. “The work” is helping you remember that so you can step into that vision with more ease.
3. Inspiration is only as good as the action it inspires you to take. Otherwise, it’s just words you might find on a cat poster and respond with “Aww isn’t that nice? Do yourself (& your goals) a favor and get inspired & do the thing.
4. If you’re frustrated & feeling impatient because things aren’t moving forward the way you want/need them to, it might be a reflection of you not moving forward with YOUR stuff (aka mindset, inner thought work & your path). Get busy. You already know what you need to do & it’s likely the thing you’ve been avoiding. (Said with a heavy dose of love.)
5. Lean IN. When our minds are a mess & the struggle is real, one of the first things we do as humans is retreat or step away from the very support we need most. Everyone does it for a different “reason” & it almost always comes back to limiting the growth we know we want & need. If you have a practice of doing this it’s time to stop. Lean into your support system & if you don’t already have one…what are you waiting for?
These nuggets are just a few of the things that come out of the calls I have with clients & they are so damn powerful!
Just imagine what can come from working on YOUR stuff.
