When it comes to creating the changes you want in your life aside from taking action, it often boils down to simply getting your brain on board with your desires.
Your brain (as brilliant as it can be) is reactionary at best when left to its own devices. It’s also wildly dramatic & creative in how it convinces you that the sky is falling. It can go from zero to “Omg, I’m going to be homeless living on the street.” in the blink of an eye without any real evidence.
But- the *best* part of it is that when you get it on board with your desires & goals, it snaps to attention & can help you create some of the most incredibly mind-blowing experiences. It helps you see the opportunities around you that you didn’t know existed & with a few intentional thoughts it can help you feel better quick, fast & in a hurry.
The key is getting it on board with your desires intentionally & consistently.
Here’s how…
1. Notice what you’re thinking & if you don’t like how it feels…change it. Your mind is constantly creating, repeating & cycling through thought patterns faster than you realize. So when you aren’t feeling great, ask yourself…what am I thinking about XYZ? Then ask…what do I WANT to think about this XYZ & intentionally sit with that thought. Rinse, repeat.
2. Look for the evidence. Your brain looooves some good old fashion evidence to support what it’s thinking. So, when you want to think more abundant & successful thoughts, look for the evidence that you are abundant & successful NOW. Make it a game & write down all the things that provide evidence for whatever new thought you want to adopt. You will not only find tons of evidence, but the focus on that will create even more like magic!
3. Be it ’til you see it. BE that version of you who is already doing the things you are working toward. Own that identity & stop telling the same worn out story of the “hot-mess-express-who-can’t-ever-get-her-shit-together” about yourself. Where you are going that version of you doesn’t exist and in fact, you *must* own the next version of you before you ever see the results of it. Remember, the millionaire becomes a millionaire in her mind before she becomes one in her account. (Replace ‘millionaire’ with whatever other thing you wish to be & the same goes for you.)
Remember mindset is a practice. It’s a lifestyle. It’s not some fad diet you do for a couple of weeks to kick the crappy thoughts to the curb and you’re forever “cured”. (Also, you don’t need to be fixed, cured or otherwise. You are not broken. You’re human. )
