Happy Thursday Friends!
If you’ve ever worked with me 1:1 or in a group program you know I am a huge fan of giving assignments and journal prompts to help support you in thinking and believing differently.
This isn’t some busy work I dole out for the hell of it. This is life-changing stuff that I am doing daily to change my own life so I know how powerful it is. (Not only that, but in my 1:1 work, I am catering each assignment to your specific needs and desires. Talk about high level service!)
Anyways, as I was doing some journaling recently I made some changes to how I journal and some of the questions I am using as prompts. I thought I’d share it with you here to help you create your own shifts and changes.
How I journal: In the past, I would solely keep a physical pen/paper journal that I would write a few pages of affirmations, visioning, pre-paving and some affirmations for good measure. However, recently I started an online journal in addition to what I keep via pen/paper. I find that for some of the questions I ask, I am able to download ideas, insights and inspiration much faster when I type it versus when I physically write it and it’s much more productive for some of the work I do. I still use my physical journal for some of the affirmation/visualization type work amongst other things, but the online file has been particularly helpful with some of the questions I am sharing with you below.
What I journal: As I mentioned above a lot of what I’ve journaled about in the past has been affirmations, mantras and visioning for what I am choosing to create. I definitely still do a bit of that each day, but recently I’ve been incorporating some really deep questions to take me to the next level. Sometimes it’s just a matter of working through a particular feeling I’m having and creating a shift within myself as I move through it and other times it’s tapping into my next-level self in sort of a forward flow way.
Here are a few examples of questions I’ve been asking along with a few others to help you tap into your own limitless life.
A few thoughts to ponder to open up your limitless thinking…
If I was already living the life of my dreams, what would I be doing now?
If I was already living the life of my dreams, what would I know to be true?
What do I need to let go of right now to move to the next level?
If I was living in total flow, I would be…
I’m getting in my own way by…
Who do I need to BE in order to create my next-level life?
If I trusted the process and had faith in what I am creating, what would I be doing now?
If I truly trusted I could be, do, and have it all what would I want?
If I knew what to do next, what would I be doing?
The truth is, I don’t make a list like this and just move through the questions. I find it’s more of an intuitive process that I use as needed depending on where I am each day and what I’m working through. It’s the same intuitive process I use with clients. I feel into where we need to go next and that’s where we go.
I know some people resist this whole “journaling your reality” thing, but friends let me tell you, those who commit to the mindset work…they do it and continue to do it because it works. Give it a try using some of the questions above and let me know how it goes.
In the meantime, let me know your thoughts on some of the questions I’ve shared above. Have you ever used questions like these? Do you journal regularly? Let me know!
Remember, you are limitless and you an be, have and do whatever you want, but you must first BELIEVE.
Big love to you all!
