As 2015 begins to wind down, I’ve found myself reflecting on some of the major life (and business) lessons I’ve learned this year, many of which have brought me to a new level as an entrepreneur and coach. In fact, one of the things we are doing over in the 2016 Planning Party is taking stock of what we have accomplished and the lessons we have learned over the past year before we move forward into creating our vision for 2016 (using the 2016 Create Your Shining Year Workbooks).
To be honest it’s one of the most eye-opening exercises I’ve ever done.
2015 has taught me a variety of things but the most important lessons I’ve shared below.
- All the answers I need lie within. Now, this is an obvious lesson for many people, but it’s one I tend to learn over and over again. While many of us want someone to tell us what we should do in life, we really have all we need to make those decisions for ourselves. This year, I’ve learned to tap into my intuition a lot more than I have in the past and have really begun trusting that inner voice that tells me when to relax and when to take risks. It’s not always second nature, but I think I have finally learned that whatever answer I am looking for…going within is always the first step.
- I am a powerful manifest-star! I’ve always known that manifesting is amazing and that we all have the ability to manifest our desires with ease and grace, but this year has shown me just how powerful I am. In the last 12 months, I’ve manifested 4 of my best months, $3K in 5 days, $3K in 24 hours and so much more. It’s really not about the money as much as it’s about understanding that we all have the power to create my own reality instantly and the power lies within our thoughts.
- My mindset practice is non-negotiable. As I teach my clients what we think and believe is directly related to what we manifest in our reality and on the days when I skip my mindset practice…all hell breaks loose. My mindset practice is my anchor. It’s all about building new beliefs and visualizing the future I am creating everyday and it’s imperative that I take that time for myself. If you don’t already have a mindset practice, I highly recommend creating one asap. It’s the most valuable tool I use.
- There’s never just ONE way. We live in a world of infinite possibilities. For a long time I tried to do the things that the ‘successful’ coaches and entrepreneurs were doing because obviously it worked for them, but after trying things and not getting the results, I realized there are so many other ways of doing things. My way will always be more fun, in alignment with who I am and who I serve and that’s what matters anyway. As long as I do what I love and keep moving forward. It’s always going to work out.
- It can always be easy…so let it be. I often have a tendency to make things more difficult than they need to be and this year I’ve learned that everything can truly be easy…if I allow them to be. By simply letting go and allowing things to unfold with faith and trust, I’ve seen miraculous things happen from helping amazing women all over the world to finding simple solutions to some of my biggest challenges. And I’ve learned that if it starts to feel a bit hard or I’m ‘efforting’ too much, it’s time for a break.
I am deeply grateful for the lessons of 2015 and am looking forward to the insights and wonders that are awaiting me in 2016.
