Welcome to the new blog series: Ask the Coach Q & A style.
Here’s how it works. Each week I will take a few of your questions and answer them just as if I were coaching you 1:1. This is a chance for you to not only get YOUR questions answered, but also an opportunity for you to begin implementing change in your life right now.
If you have questions you’d like to submit please email me at lamisha (at) lifeoncedreamt.com and put in the subject line : Question and I’ll add your question to my list.
Q: What are some signs that I am too attached to the outcome & how can I let go?
This is a GREAT question and is one I talk about all the time when I talk about manifesting. Chances are if you are feeling anxious or nervous about your desires coming to fruition or you are keeping score of what has or hasn’t come…you are too attached to the outcome. This can also show up in trying really hard to make your desire come true by forcing action or by specifying the path you want your desire to come through.
A great example is when you are trying to manifest money. When you decide you want to manifest a specific amount of money, you may begin thinking of the logical ways it will flow. You decide that money should come from long hours, work, clients, etc. and work really hard to make all those ways work out when in fact money can flow in a million different ways if you are open to it.
Letting go is the answer…always. If you feel too attached or feel fearful your desires won’t manifest or are placing deadlines on your desires, it’s time to get out of your logical, strategic mind and into your fun, playful, inspired heart. Go do something FUN. Connect with children, read a great novel, listen to music and dance your ass off, watch a funny movie or go look at some Christmas lights. Do something that you will enjoy and that will take your mind off the worry of the outcome. It is during those moments that your desires will manifest.
Q: What tips do you have for trusting that my purpose as I see it inside can support me financially or that the world needs it?
Another great question. Your purpose is only to follow your heart and do what you love. The vehicle by which you do that can change and it does over your lifetime. The fact that you love what you do means it can actually support you financially AND it’s meant to be shared with the world. However, looking at it as the sole basis for money to flow to you can stop the flow. As with the question above setting up the specific way money can flow to you (ie. only through your purpose) stops the flow. And this is going to sound crazy (but hey, I’m a little crazy): Don’t serve your purpose in life FOR money…do it because you love it and the money will flow. I told you it was crazy.
When you live in this unlimited Universe as we all do, there are tons of ways for money, resources, desires etc. to manifest and come into your life and when you are in the flow with love, creativity, and you are doing the things that light you up…all your desires are fulfilled, someway, somehow.
So, the easy answer is this…if you love it, do it and know that the fact that you HAVE that desire and purpose means you can in fact allow it to support you financially but don’t let that be the motivating factor.
I hope you all enjoy this new series as much as I enjoy sharing answers with you. Remember if you have questions that you would like me to answer, please email your question to lamisha@lifeoncedreamt.com and I’ll be happy to include your questions.
