It’s the last day of June and if this were any other year, I’d likely be setting intentions and getting clear on what I want to be, have and so for the month ahead. But alas, we are in 2020 and this year has proven to be anything but normal.
As I shared in my post on Friday, things have been a bit challenging lately and while I don’t believe we get tested by God or the Universe in order to receive what we desire, I certainly feel like my resolve is being tested recently.
As I was thinking about it this morning, I realized this is really a test of my faith and belief that things are always working out for us even and especially when it appears as though it isn’t. <– You see this is one of the core beliefs that I carry with me and share with clients on a daily basis and it’s being tested like never before.
This is the belief I fall back on when things have felt uncertain in my life or business.
This is the belief I fall back on when I’m unsure of how things are going to work out.
This is the belief I fall back on when I feel like I have no control.
This is the belief I fall back on when I literally can’t see the way forward.
And right now…I’m feeling all of these things and trying desperately to hang onto the belief that I have chosen at my core…that things are STILL working out, even and especially when I can’t see them.
This is the test.
The test of our belief and faith and trust that things are unfolding for us even and especially when we can’t see them.
Isn’t that in essence, the definition of faith? I mean, we certainly don’t need to rely on faith when we can see the steps, know the way and have all the evidence in front of us right? Isn’t faith about choosing to believe beyond what you can see in this moment?
This is the test.
The test of our mindset, belief system, and where we choose to place our focus.
The test of our resolve and consistent choice in what we choose to believe.
The test of whether we keep believing or we give up and give in to what we see in front of us.
So, while this current move/delays/COVID/uncertainty is testing me to my core, I’ve decided there are a few things I can do in the interim.
- Focus on my mindset. This is always an option and often the best thing we can do in moments like these. If I’m honest, the past week has been a bit hit or miss when it comes to my mindset work, so it’s time to refocus. This means I’m choosing to trust and have faith that it’s working out and not allowing the day-to-day “little fires” to get the best of me. Is it always easy? No, but it’s necessary.
- Doing what I can and delegating the rest. Last night while chatting with a client I gave her an assignment that I quickly realized wasn’t just for her. The exercise is called “Delegating to the Universe/God” aka surrendering. The idea is simple. You take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle. On one side you write out all the things you can do to manifest or create what you want. On the other side, you delegate or surrender to the Universe/God all the other things. The idea is once you delegate the “other” things, you truly surrender them and trust that they will be worked out. (I made my list last night and let’s just say I’m surrendering a LOT of the things that have been heavy on my mind.). If you’ve never tried an exercise like this, I highly recommend you try it.
- Giving & serving. When I am working with clients, doing trainings or simply showing up to serve, it’s almost as if my worries don’t exist. This is partially due to the fact that I love what I do and I feel so connected in my work. The other reason is that I’m constantly reminded of what is possible and the magic that can unfold much faster than we realize. So, yes even in all the chaos an unknowns I am still working with clients, booking new clients and even opened up a handful of general oracle readings before I pack everything up.
So, for now that is the plan and I promise, I will be sharing how things unfold and look forward to sharing the miraculous ways all the pieces fall into place. This is what I am calling in. This might also be a good time for you to evaluate what you are calling in.
My hope is always that you are flowing through life with ease and grace, but if you find that you are hitting some stumbling blocks along the way, I invite you to try some of the things I listed above.
And remember…it’s always working out, even and especially when it looks like it isn’t.
Big love to you!
